Connectedness

Now, more than ever before, we need to stay connected. The term social distancing should really be renamed, physical distancing while remaining socially connected. The creativity surrounding technology and what we are forced to invent in order to still allow for closeness has been nothing short of inspiring. Communication of all forms have been our lifeline to each other.

We took for granted how lucky we were to constantly be surrounded by others. We were complacent and lackadaisical without even realizing it.

We needed this darkness to know light.

We needed this distance to appreciate togetherness.

When we get through this, off all the things that are uncertain, some things we do know for certain:

We will never again take for granted sitting around a table with a group of friends.

The comfort that comes from embracing each other.

Physical presence with those we love is a privilege and should be celebrated as the gift that it is.
