Be a Part of the Good

After we’ve voted, remember that what comes afterwards matters too.

We no longer have control over the outcome, all that will be, will be.

No one can say for sure what will happen next.

Remember what lies within our power: every day we have the ability to be a part of the good; to be the change we want to see in the world.

Our children learn about morality, decency, compassion from what we model for them, in the small things we do when no one else is watching.

Within our household, the work we do within our own family, matters. It isn’t easy and it’s not always fun, but it’s important.

We also need to ensure we are compassionate with ourselves.

Recognize the enormity of the challenge of motherhood and then recognize the importance of allowing big and small moments that belong only to you.

You are important.

Only you can take care of yourself, so you can take care of them, and together, we can help take care of the good.
