Pre-Assessment Meditation

If you are here, then you understand the Oxygen-Mask-Theory of motherhood. What’s good for you is good for your baby, is good for your children, is good for your partner and ultimately good for your family. Take this moment to celebrate yourself for being here and for what you just accomplished.

We are capable of change. We as mothers know this more than anyone. One day we were women and the next we transformed into mothers. And I do mean transformed. Motherhood has not been a fast process. It took 40 weeks to grow a person and every day since we birth, we’ve been pushed out of our comfort zone. It’s laughable what our pre-kid-selves thought was a little amount of sleep, the feeling of physical pain, our perception of selflessness and our capacity to love another human being. We had no idea until we held our babies in our arms what any of those words truly meant. Let’s apply this same expectation of our own limitations and happily throw them out the window. We are so much stronger than we realize.

Over the next 8 weeks we will embark on something new and challenging together. Even if you’ve been here before, thanks to the passion of each person and dedication of our instructors our experience is unique every session.

There is something so powerful about a group of mothers.

We can grow life in our bodies, feed from them, and gain strength both from within and with the energy we feel from one another. Let’s lean into each other this session, celebrate another mom’s successes, use someone’s momentum to carry us on the days we need to be lifted, and most importantly ask for help. No mother is an island and if you were feeling alone before you arrived here today, that feeling ends here and now. Welcome to our village.
