It was never our intention to raise children alone. With or without a partner, we are reliant on a small army behind us. Helping us to shoulder some of the weight.
And it’s not because we can’t do it alone.
We have gratefully chosen not to.
How often do we say, “No thanks. I’m OK,” when we are offered help?
Too often.
We could all use an extra set of hands, so why do we feel the need to pretend we don’t?
When we speak to each other, we come from a place of profound compassion and even when we don’t understand we still have understanding, because we all speak the universal language of motherhood.
