Our Village

There are so many reasons a mother needs a village. Raising children is a team sport. When we reach out a hand and ask for help, we are answered with, “Of course.” If we had a dollar for every time our village had given us the same answer to one of our questions during a time we need something, we would be rich beyond measure. We are a village because we are here to give to each other, offer help and accept help.

We say things like, “I hear you. This is hard. This too shall pass. I am here for you.”

And we mean it.

When we speak to each other, we come from a place of profound compassion and even when we don’t understand we still have understanding, because we all speak the universal language of motherhood.
