Ingredients for Life
I want you to envision the components of your life as ingredients that are prepared daily, as your very own recipe for happiness.
Maybe you need a sprinkling of alone time, a full cup of exercise, a tablespoon of work, a teaspoon of creativity, about a gallon of coffee, and the rest of the bowl is overflowing with love.
Each of our recipes looks different and we could likely fill a book with all the individualized parts.
The great news is your life is not an exact science and it’s easy to reflect at the end of the day,
Something was missing today… next time I will aim for a full cup of alone time and just a dash of laundry.
Or the best is when you think,
Wow, I’m a multi-tasking supermom! I’m happy I got to that project AND date night.
You are the cook, the baker, and the executive chef. No one else is in the kitchen making these decisions for you. Life is not simply something that happens to you, it’s what you make it.
On the days you find yourself overwhelmed, come back to this analogy. Sometimes we can find the solution when we break it down into simplified parts.
Still unsure, look around at those you love and recognize your life is already full of everything you need.
